Where Have All the Good Men Gone?
They are still here, reclaiming their hearts and rewriting what strength means.
A Call to the Ones Who’ve Lived It
If you’re reading this and thinking,
“I’m not sure I’m qualified…”
That’s exactly who we’re speaking to.
This isn’t about being fully healed.
It’s not about having the perfect redemption arc.
And it’s definitely not about being fixed.
It’s about being honest.
We are gathering people who have lived a real life —
who have made mistakes, caused harm, shut down, numbed out, lost their way —
and then chose to grow.
The stories no one ever asked you to tell?
The ones beneath the surface?
Those are the ones that matter here.
True Leadership
Many of the contributors are coaches, therapists, facilitators, mentors, community builders.
Others lead quietly — in their families, partnerships, and communities.
What unites them isn’t a title.
It’s this:
They let their life change them.
They’ve faced the parts they’re not proud of.
They’ve taken responsibility where they could.
They’ve allowed failure to deepen them after sometimes years of letting it harden them.
That is strength.
If you’ve ever wondered whether your story is “too messy,” this book exists to dismantle that shame.
It’s not about what you did. It’s about who you became because of it.
When real stories are told — across race, culture, sexuality, faith, ability, identity — shame softens. Understanding deepens. The collective perspective changes.
If your life has shaped you, and you’re willing to tell the truth about how, we see you.
And we value your story.

The Standard We’re Holding
This book is leadership-forward.
We are gathering men who understand:
Accountability over blame
Empathy over armor
Repair over righteousness
Responsibility over victimhood
Courage that includes tenderness
Because when men are witnessed in their truth, shame loosens. Relationships deepen. Leadership matures.

A Note on Why This Matters
In 2023, men accounted for nearly 80% of suicides in the United States, despite making up roughly half the population. The rate among men was approximately four times higher than among women, according to the CDC.
Behind those numbers are fathers. Sons. Brothers. Partners. Friends.
Many of them were described as “strong.”
Many of them were described as “fine.”Too often, the inner world of men goes unseen — until it’s too late.
This book exists to help change that, rooted in the belief that when men are given space to speak honestly, and when we, as a culture, learn to listen, something shifts.
We write in honor of the men who didn’t get to tell their full story.
And for the ones who are still here, carrying more than they show. -
This Book Is For You If:
You’ve lived through failure, loss, or collapse — and let it change you.
You take responsibility for your impact and can speak about it without blame.
You believe strength includes emotional honesty and growth.
We are intentionally gathering diverse voices across race, culture, sexuality, faith background, ability, and lived experience — because the future of masculinity must be expansive.
This Book Is Not For You If:
You’re still fighting the world from inside your wound.
You want to make this political or preach one “right” way to be a man.
Your story centers on blame without ownership.
This isn’t a debate stage.
It’s a space for integrated truth. -
Good.
We’re not looking for polished writers.
We’re looking for real stories.
You don’t need to be eloquent, have perfect grammar, or “sound impressive.”
You just need to tell the truth.
We provide clear guidance, prompts, and editorial support to help you shape your story. Our team will work with you to refine your chapter so it’s powerful, clear, and impactful, without changing your voice.
This book isn’t about literary talent.
It’s about lived experience.
And if you’ve lived it, you can write it.
